Nominee Information Sheet

An International Award Recognizing Excellence of Achievement in High School Band Programs

In order to nominate a band program, all information must be completed and submitted between January 1 and April 30 of the current academic year. The earlier the nomination, the more time the nominated band has to gather the information needed for consideration.

    Nominated bands should meet all five criteria of the award. Concert, Marching, and Jazz Bands in addition to ensembles consistently perform at the highest level of excellence.

  • Nominee Awards and Honors

    List distinguished performances of concert, marching and jazz bands from state/national conventions and festivals from the previous three years.

  • Community Outreach, Culture, and Developing Interest in Bands

    Director must show evidence of leadership and/or made significant contributions to our profession. Leadership may include, but is not limited to such things as holding of having held a region or state office, publications, compositions, presentations at in-service clinics or conferences.
